Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on the 19th January, 1946 on the 19th of January 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised alongside 12 other kids. The vivid imagination of her mother allowed her to escape the pressures of daily life. Before she learned to write or read, she had already composed her own music. In the year she turned eight, she bought her first electric guitar. She began to sing at a Knoxville Tenn Radio Station. Her first album was recorded within the same calendar year with Gold Band Records, a small independent label. Even though she was still studying, she established a name for herself on the local scene. But her dream was to be able to make music on a bigger level. The day she graduated from the high school in 1964. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner began looking for women to sing for his TV show syndicated by a network at approximately the same time. Parton got her first gig in the year 1967, signed with RCA Records by 1968, and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. The show ended in 1974, as her own releases such as Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene were charting collaborations with them. Parton following the breakup of their collaboration with Wagoner she wrote the song I Will Always Love You and had it reach Number. 1. for the first time since 1974.
