Debbie Gibson made a name her name in the world of pop music in the 90s. Over time, other artists started to take over the world of music, however Gibson was steadfast in her musical passion. Gibson was born August 31st of 1970 on Long Island, New York City. She is an Virgo, with an Italian/Sicilian German and a little bit Russian origin. She is the daughter of Diane Gibson. Morton Estrin was her first piano instructor when she first started out. When she was in 1983, the singer began her career by writing a song titled 'I Come from America which she sent a song to WOR as her entry for WOR's song contest. The song was a winner, after which her mother converted the garage in their family into an audio recording studio. She D.J. was inspired by an audition she gave to a local radio station of one of her songs, Only in My Dreams. The song was shared to the Atlantic Records executive and was instantly offered a contract the development. The tour began as a promotion of venues throughout all over the United States. The tour continued while building her songwriting catalogue. Gibson's mom would accompany her to her concerts. They also pursued their studies at Calhoun High School, Merrick New York.
